Share the Love: Valentine's DIY Inspiration

Greetings and Salutations, Sweet Cheeks! Yup, Miss Madge's Share the Love Initiative is chugging along. I've got your Valentine's DIY Inspiration covered!

First, a super sweet vintage Art Deco era Valentine.  Aw, puppy love, how sweet is this?  I used the original card to make a Pupcycled Valentine for iLoveToCreate!  Feel free to follow the link and get the instructions after you download the image.

Here's a battle of the teen idols purse from the book, simple decoupage on painted wood.  One side is Donny Osmond and the other is Bobby Sherman.  I still have this little gem.  Looking at this now, I'd probably add something around the edges of the image, crystals or ribbon...just to frame it more.  Hindsight is 20-20. The idea is for you to put your favorite teen idols on your purse.  I was honestly more of a David Cassidy fan...but there's a story behind these images and you can read it if you buy your own copy of Sparkletastic, which I have on my website for a super ridiculously awesome price of $8.00 plus shipping.  (Which is a huge discount from the original $19.99 cover price!)

I'm still smitten with this playing card jewelry set, there are matching earrings.  This is all about a little self love!  I called it Feel Lucky.  The miniature wooden cards came from the dollar store, but you could easily make your own.

Finally, here's a girlie good frothy confection of a purse, this one features iron on sparkly transfers, pretty frayed rose ribbon and a filigree SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS accent.  This is A Girl's Life and is an  homage to my long time BFF Tam.  I surely do miss our girls' shopping dates!

Oh and while I'm sharing the love, check out my BFF Mark Montano's stunning new lampshade up-style DIY video tutorial!  Isn't it romantic?

I adore this ornament heart wreath DIY tutorial from the fabulous Miss Jade herself over at Jaderbomb blog.  How smart is this?

Now that's a whole lotta Valentine's DIY Inspiration!

xoxo

I recognized Bobby Sherman right away! Did you know that he served as an emergency medical person after his singing career ended? I don't know if he still does that. I was and am and always will be a Ricky Nelson fan (Be still,my heart!), but then I'm of another generation. Have a perfect daisy of a day!

Funny enough, in the first draft of this post I quoted Ricky Nelson!

I had a big crush on Davy Jones too, wish I still had my Monkees lunch box!

Cheers,
Madge

Love the purse, Margot! I am with you, David Cassidy was my idea of McDreamy!
